Orvieto, Italy
August 11-19, 2018
Situated halfway between Florence and Rome in Italy’s famously picturesque Umbria region, Orvieto is a medieval walled city known as one of the jewels of Umbria's hill towns. Dating from the 12th century, with vestiges of Roman, Etruscan and early medieval dwellings incorporated into the town's later structure, the entire city is a living architectural museum.

Founded originally as the Orvieto Festival Choir, we were thrilled to launch our inaugural season in partnership with the Orvieto Festival of Strings. The choir was in residence in Orvieto for nine days, rehearsing and performing a series of concerts in collaboration with the festival's orchestra. Concerts were held in beautiful and historic venues: the Orvieto Duomo, the Acquapendente Duomo, and the Chiesa San Francesco as part of the Preggio Music Festival.
